Kindle Cases
How do I know which Kindle I own?
Via your Kindle
- Turn on your Kindle or wake device
- Click the three vertical dots in the top right hand corner to access your main menu.
- Click on settings.
- Click on Device options.
- Click on Device info.
Via the Amazon App
- Login to your Amazon account via your Amazon app.
- Click the person icon.
- Click the Account button.
- Scroll down to Account settings.
- Click on Connected devices.
- Click on Kindle.
- Refer to the Kindle Type shown.
Via the Amazon Webpage
- Login to your Amazon account via the webpage.
- Click on Accounts & Lists
- Click on devices under Digital content and devices.
- Click on your Kindle
- Refer to the Kindle Type shown.
If Kindle type is not listed directly within your Amazon account:
- Copy or make note of the first 6 digits of your Serial number.
- Visit BookFere,
- Scroll to step 1 “Kindle Model Quick Lookup Tool”
- Enter the first six digits of your Serial number.
- Reference the results below the Serial number inserted to see your Kindle type.
Will this fit my Kindle?
Each case is designed specifically for the Kindle model selected on the product page. Kindle generations frequently look very similar, so please double check your device before ordering.
Do the cases support Auto Wake/Sleep?
Yes! All of our Kindle cases feature the Auto Wake/Sleep functionality.
Are the designs printed?
No, every design is laser engraved into the case for a durable finish that won't fade, peel, or flake like printed material might.
Are the cases handmade
Every case is individually engraved, inspected, and packed in our Portland, Oregon studio using thoughtfully sourced imported case blanks.
Can I clean my kindle case?
Yes! Wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth for regular cleaning.
For tougher spots, use a lightly damp microfiber cloth with a small amount of gentle dish soap. Avoid soaking the PU leather, especially the engraved area as it is more porous than the untouched PU leather.
Do you offer custom Kindle cases?
Not officially... yet!
While custom personalization and bespoke designs aren't currently available as a regular offering, we'd still love to hear your ideas. If you have something special in mind, feel free to send us an e-mail or use our contact page. If it's a project that fits our style, schedule and capabilities, we may bring it to life or keep it in mind as we work toward opening commissions in the future.
Metallic Bookmarks
What are the metallic looking boomarks made from?
Our metallic bookmarks are laser engraved onto premium flexible acrylic that's lightweight, durable, and designed for everyday reading.
What size are the bookmarks?
Our bookmarks measure approximately 7" × 1.75".
Will the bookmarks damage my book pages?
Not at all! They feature smooth edges and are designed to be gentle on your books.
Can they bend?
Yes! They're made from flexible acrylic and are designed to flex with everyday use. Just avoid folding or sharply creasing them, they aren’t entirely indestructible.
Can I clean my bookmark?
Absolutely! Wipe your bookmark clean with a damp microfiber cloth. Mild soap may be used if needed. While the acrylic is waterproof and made for everyday use, avoid abrasive cleaners or rough scrubbing to help keep it looking its best.
Are the designs printed?
Nope! Every bookmark is laser engraved, meaning the artwork won't rub off, peel, or fade with normal use.
Trope Tags
What are Trope Tags?
Trope Tags are our bookish take on the traditional keychain. Each one is designed to celebrate your favorite genres, tropes, and fictional obsessions while helping you connect with fellow readers out in the world… or the bookstore. They are made from PU leather in a loop-style design, making it perfect for clipping onto your keys, tote, or bag. Or making those inevitable "girl grip" moments just a little easier.
What are they made from?
Each Trope Tag is laser engraved onto faux leather and finished with a sturdy metal key ring.
Can I attach one somewhere besides my keys?
Definitely! Trope Tags also look great on tote bags, backpacks, purses, Kindle sleeves, and zipper pulls. Really anything that you can attach a keychain ring to will be perfect!
Are the designs printed?
No. Every Trope Tag is laser engraved for a long-lasting finish.
Can I request a new trope or genre?
We love hearing ideas! While we can't promise every suggestion will become a product, reader requests are always welcome! Just reach out to us here!
About Our Products
Where are your products made?
Every item is engraved, inspected, and packaged in our Portland, Oregon studio. All of our products begin with thoughtfully sourced blanks before being transformed into finished Unladylike Library creations.
Are all of your designs original?
Many of our designs are created in-house, while others feature professionally licensed artwork from talented independent artists. Individual product listings will note when artwork is licensed.
Why laser engraving instead of printing?
We love laser engraving because it creates a premium, long-lasting finish with crisp detail that's made to stand up to everyday use. Unlike some printed designs, laser engraving won't peel or crack because the design is engraved directly into the material.
That said, we believe different products call for different production methods. While laser engraving is our preferred process for many of our current products, we're always exploring other high quality techniques when they're the best fit for the design.
Do you use licensed artwork?
In some of our products, yes! When a design features artwork created by another artist, we obtain the appropriate commercial license before offering it for sale. We believe artists deserve to be supported for their creative work.
Can I shop Unladylike Library at a brick and mortar store?
While we don't have our own brick and mortar storefront, you can shop a selection of Unladylike Library products at Polished in Portland. Inventory may vary, but we keep a small selection of our favorites available for in-person shopping.
Wholesale & Collaborations
Do you offer wholesale?
Not at this time, but we'd love to hear from you if you're interested in carrying Unladylike Library products.

Unladylike Library is a small literature adjacent business in Portland, Oregon started in 2025. We strive to create products and accessories for the bookish community.
